The cost of each book is $20.00 (including tax)

Come up with some creative ways to highlight 4-H in your community or school. Believe it or not, not everyone in Huron County knows about or appreciates 4-H We need to keep 4-H in the public eye!

The annual Huron County Junior Fair Market Beef Weigh-in and tagging was held on Saturday, December 4 at the fairgrounds. Sixty-one head were tagged, compared to 63 tagged last year. Thirty-seven beef steers (36 for 2021), four beef heifers (6 for 2021), and twenty dairy beef steers (21 for 2021).
All market beef which will be shown at the 2022 Huron County Jr. Fair must have been tagged on December 4 or turned in ID forms. The Huron County Fair is August 15 - 20, 2022.

Bonnie has decided to retire on December 31, 2020. She has guided Huron County 4-H since March 14, 1988. Prior to her 4-H duties in Huron County, she was a vocational agriculture teacher for over seven years. She will have completed 40 years of public service when she retires.

Celebrating the significant accomplishments and deep impact that OSU Extension has had on communities and in the lives of Ohioans provides a great springboard for the future. A significant component of Ohio’s celebration in 2014 will be a year-long process focused on our future. The primary work this year will center on futuring – asking questions about and envisioning the long-term future of OSU Extension as well as the role the organization should play in shaping and positively impacting Ohio and Ohio residents.

The 100-year anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act, which officially created the national Cooperative Extension System, will be celebrated in 2014. Activities this year will highlight our past and focus on the current application of Cooperative Extension’s mission and vision as we move into our next century.
