About 4-H
"4-H is a community of young people across America learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills." Youth are involved in hands-on, experiential education that allows learning by doing. All 4-H programs focus on active involvement and quality experiences which stimulate lifelong learning of values and skills. 4-H programs are leader-directed and youth-focused. Two hundred adult volunteers give their time to coordinate activities for 1027 youth in 50 Huron Couny 4-H community clubs. Every 4-H member must enroll in at least one 4-H project. Members enrolled in a total of 1816 projects with a 94% completion rate. Cloverbuds is an activity-based, non-competetive program for members in grades K-2. Fifty-three specially trained advisors guided 189 Cloverbud members.
